Assessment in Student Affairs

The Division of Student Affairs consists of the Admissions Office, Athletics, Campus Life, Career Development, Counseling Center, Educational Development Program, Financial Aid, Judicial Affairs, Multicultural Affairs, Residence Life, Student Health Center, University Police, Veterans Affairs, and Volunteer Services.

The Division utilizes a myriad of regional and national assessment tools, including the SUNY Student Opinion Survey (SOS), the ACUHO-I (Residence Hall) Survey, the MAPWorks survey, and the National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE). The Division has also partnered with Campus Labs (formerly StudentVoice), a technology-based assessment company, to develop and implement a number of local surveys in order to assess more specific goals and outcomes.

The Division of Student Affairs publishes an annual report that outlines its goals, learning outcomes, assessment measures, and results to ensure that the division is accomplishing its stated mission.
