Student Organization Excellence Awards are awarded by the Office of Student Affairs and Academic Affairs recognizing those student organizations pursuing new initiatives and striving for excellence in the areas of community relations, cultural arts, leadership development, school spirit, multiculturalism, and volunteerism.
Winners of the following awards will receive a $200 stipend for their organization's future endeavors. The $200 will be deposited into the organization's Student Association account only. At no time will the monetary award be given to an individual or deposited into an off-campus financial account.
A call for nominations for the awards will be made several weeks before the Leadership Development Awards Banquet, where the awards will be presented. Normally, organizations will only be awarded one award per year. The awards are competitive and require excellence. As such, awards will not necessarily be given every year.
This year's nominations and applications are available above or in the Office of Campus Life beginning April 4, 2008. All student organizations will also receive a packet in their Student Association mailbox by March 28, 2008. Completed applications are due to Erin Mroczka in the Campus Life Office by April 18, 2007.
