Family Weekend

October 26-28, 2012

“F” is for Fall, Families, and Fredonia!
We encourage your family to come visit your student on one of the most exciting weekends of the academic year.   There are hundreds of memories to be made while cheering in the bleachers, clapping in the theater, celebrating a scholarship, or exploring the best the season has to offer at the many area attractions in Chautauqua County.

This weekend is all about your family enjoying each other’s company at your own pace. There is no mandatory registration process. Families are invited to participate at their own convenience. Please note some events listed below are ticketed and sold on a first come-first serve basis. If there is a ticketed event your family would like to attend, we encourage you to purchase your tickets as far in advance as possible.

Should you have any questions or concerns about your visit, please contact the Campus Life Office at (716) 673-3143.

 Craig Karges

Tickets are still available at the door TONIGHT!

Spectrum Entertainment Board is thrilled to welcome back Craig Karges for a third appearance at SUNY Fredonia . Voted “Entertainer of the Year” six times by the National Association of College Activities (NACA), he is a fan favorite among college students and their families.

Craig Karges is truly extraordinary! The “extraordinist” is an award-winning entertainer, a nationally recognized speaker and an author. Karges has made over four thousand appearances in seventeen countries on four continents and in all fifty states.

Craig Karges combines the art of magic with the science of psychology and the power of intuition to create the impression that nothing is impossible. Tables float, minds are read, metal bends and your imagination is challenged because you won’t believe your eyes! Audiences may be mystified when it comes to understanding how Craig Karges accomplishes what he does on stage but his popularity is no mystery at all.

This show is recommended for families of all ages. Tickets are $12 and can be at the door. The show will begin at 8:00pm at the 1891 Fredonia Opera House, 9 Church Street, Fredonia, NY 14063.
