Leadership Development at SUNY FredoniaThe Campus Life office offers leadership courses known as the Leadership Development Program, houses a Leadership Resource Center located in the newly renovated Williams Center, and advises leadership clubs such as Leadership Corps. A leadership minor through interdisciplinary studies is also available to students. As part of the Advanced Leadership Development classes curricula, students are expected to create leadership projects of their choice within the established guidelines. LEADERSHIP CAN BE LEARNED!Emily Bird (pictured below), a 2012 graduate of SUNY Fredonia with a minor in leadership studies, explains how leadership studies assisted in her development. Currently, Emily is an Account coordinator at Text100 Global Communications in Rochester, NY. Text 100 is a technology-based public relations firm with offices located around the world. Emily began interning with the company in June and was hired full-time in November, 2012. Her main job duties include supporting the Xerox Technology team with their public relations needs and recruiting new business for the firm. Click on the link above to read Emily's story.
