Mark Suida (Assistant Director of Campus Life, Coordinator of Leadership Development)
Mark has ten years of experience in student affairs. He began his career as an Admissions Counselor at Bryant & Stratton College shortly after graduating with his bachelor's of arts in public communication from Buffalo State College. After working in admissions for over three and a half years and being promoted to senior admissions counselor, he was hired as the Director of Campus Life at Jamestown Community College. At JCC, Mark was responsible for coordinating a comprehensive campus life program for the Jamestown and Dunkirk Campuses. He also advised the student government, planned and implemented new student orientation and played a key role in coordinating commencement. Currently Mark oversees and coordinates a comprehensive Leadership Development Program. He teaches the Advanced Leadership Development class (SPST201 - course catalog) and presents on leadership topics to campus clubs and organizations. Mark also advises Golden Key Honour Society and Leadership Corps at SUNY Fredonia. Mark has presented twice at the National Association of Campus Activities annual conference in Lancaster, PA on getting commuter students involved on campus. Mark has a master's of science in student personnel administration from Buffalo State College.
Kasie Chappius (Graduate Assistant)
Kasie graduated in May of 2009 with a bachelor's of science in education (speech and language disabilities) and a minor in leadership. Currently, Kasie is the Graduate Assistant for the Campus Life Office. She attends SUNY Fredonia and is pursuing her master's degree in Education - Speech and Language Disabilities. She hopes that her education will assist her in obtaining a speech and language pathology job in an inner-city school working with underprivileged children.
