Here we see Paul and his research advisor, Dr. Michael Milligan, filling an
extraction column. Paul is a member of the research team that includes several colleges
throughout New York state. The funding for this project is NYSERDA (New York State
Energy, Research and Development Agency). The goal of the project is to study the
impact of out-of-state versus in-state power plants on semi-volatile pollutants in
the atmosphere. Paul works on extracting air samples from high volume air sample
filters. Paul enjoyed the opportunity of residing in Fredonia during the summer and
sharpening his laboratory techniques.
