A native of Frewsburg, NY, Meghan transferred
to SUNY College at Fredonia from Jamestown Community College. Meghan joined Dr.
Philip Kumler's research team and is studying HPLC techniques, which will be put
to use purifying synthetic proteins using the automated synthesizer, assisting
Gayle Gawlik in the solid-phase synthesis of 18 and 20-residue peptides. Meghan
enjoys new challenges and experiences. She worked in the summer in the Sears
lawn and garden department, and also as an activities assistant in a nursing
home. After earning her B.S. degree in molecular genetics, Meghan plans to apply
to graduate school and pursue a career in the biomedical field.
