The Adolescence Education: Chemistry program is delivered by the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry of the College of Arts and Sciences. The Adolescence Education: Chemistry program is an affiliated program of the College of Education - Professional Education Unit and is coordinated by Dr. Kathleen Lesniak. Overview and Description of the Program Students wishing to teach chemistry in the secondary schools can obtain initial certification by completing either of the Chemistry tracks described below and the required courses in Professional Education. The procedure to be followed for admission to the professional sequence of courses is described in the Education section of the catalog.
