The Council of Music Education Programs (COMEA) is an organization of
affiliated organizations within NYSSMA
(New York State School Music Association. The purpose of COMEA is to
promote communication between organizations and to plan and implement the
Summer conference of NYSSMA. As a member of COMEA, COMTEP is a regular
participant in all the NYSSMA activities and is the voice of higher
education programs in music education in NYSSMA. The dialogue between
all members of COMEA helps maintain the quality and mission of music
education in New York State at all levels, kindergarten through graduate
school.
