Call for Research Papers for Winter NYSSMA 1996
The Research Dvision of the New York State School Music Association is pleased to announce the call for research reports for presentation at the 1996 NYSMA Winter conference, December 1-4, 1996, Kiamesha Lake, New York. The Committee invites and encourages submissions from members in all divisions of NYSSMA, including college students in the New York State Music Education Association, graduate students conducting research projects through their masters and doctoral programs, teahers documenting their own work in the public schools, and college faculty engaged in scholarly activity. Authors whose reports are selected will present their research in an informal portfolio session during which interested music educators may discuss research results and applications to music teaching with individual authors. each presenter will prepare a 30" by 40" poster that describes the rese4arch, and will provide abstracts of the report for interested individuals attending the portfolio session. Research reports presented also may be considered for subsequent publication in the School Music News.

Prospectivwe participants must prepare an abstract of approximately 750 words that provides a conscise, yet thorough, summary of the research project, and submit THREE COPIES of the abstract to:
