What COMTEP does
Programs of study are approved by the State Education Department and regional accrediting agencies. Students are counseled by experienced progessionals in music education, and meet course requirements in music theory, music history, music performance, and music education. Student teaching at both elementary and secondary levels is supervised by the college faculty and staff. Competency in teaching, conducting, and performance is required of all graduates of our programs who seek state certification to teach school music.
