Outreach Services

In addition to providing services to students, Substance Abuse and Violence Prevention Services (SAVP) also reaches out to the campus community through its educational programs. SAVP outreach programs are geared towards creating a campus culture in which members make informed and responsible decisions regarding their personal and community health.

The SAVP staff possesses specialized knowledge and skills in areas including, but not limited to:

  • Alcohol and other drugs
  • Rape and sexual assault
  • Relationship issues including dating and domestic violence
  • Stalking and harassment
  • Sexual healthThe Counseling Center staff is able to share their knowledge and skills by providing consultation to students and student organizations, staff, and faculty.

SAVP schedules workshops throughout the academic calendar, that are open to the campus community, free of charge.

Students, faculty, and staff encouraged to make a request for a workshop.To schedule a workshop and/or request a special workshop topic, Click here. To ensure the success of your program, please be sure to give us as much advance notice as possible (minimum 2 weeks).
