"Some Like It Hot" will be hosting its eighth annual a cappella invitational, "ACAFEST" including performances by on-campus groups "Much More Chill," "Dynamic Intonation" and "The Riveters." In addition, there will be two off-campus guest groups performing, "Between the Lines," a co-ed a cappella group from SUNY Geneseo, and the "Buffalo Chips," the University of Buffalo's all male a cappella group. Fredonia's fabulous flute ensemble, Flutasia, presents an eclectic mix of works, including a Latin Jazz piece by Caliendo, a piccolo octet called "Petrushka's Ghost" and a haunting work called "Voices of Nagasaki" with percussion and choir. Also on the program, a beautiful arrangement of Barber's "Adagio for Strings" featuring a flute major dancing his original choreography. Free.

An array of original, diverse works choreographed by faculty members and guest artists will thrill in this annual concert featuring Fredonia's talented dancers. Artistic Director Helen Myers' work, inspired by the famous pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compostela, Spain is set to ancient, rare music performed live by Fredonia's Chamber Choir directed by Gerald Gray. Sam Kenney explores Philip Glass' "Orion" series with a fast-paced contemporary dance. Angelika Summerton presents a comedic work with commercial advertising music, while Jon Lehrer thrills with another jaw-dropping athletic spectacle. Guest artists include Minneapolis-based Rosy Simas and Western New York-based Terry Beck and Kerry Ring.
