Kevin Opp has over twenty-seven years of experience in all aspects of two and three dimensional graphic and visual communication design. His experience ranges from print communications and identity systems to retail displays, packaging, trade shows, exhibits, wayfinding and signage design programs.
Kevin received his Bachelor of Science in Graphic Design from the University of Cincinnati’s College of Design, Architecture, Art and Planning. As an undergraduate student, Kevin had the opportunity to participate at in a Professional Practice program at UC and held co-op positions at IBM Corporation, Henry Dreyfuss Associates (industrial designers) and the American Stock Exchange.
Mr. Opp began his design career in the IBM Design Center, and has held design management positions at advertising, marketing communications, and architectural design firms. In addition to working full time as the Director of Marketing for a lighting manufacturer, Kevin has served as part-time adjunct instructor of graphic design in the Visual Arts and New Media Department at the State University of New York – College at Fredonia. He has worked for the college since 1989.
It has been this part-time teaching experience that motivated Kevin to return to college and pursue a terminal degree in graphic design. Kevin is currently pursuing a Master of Fine Art in Graphic Design from the Savannah College of Art and Design.
Kevin’s work has been recognized by the New York Art Director’s Club, Association of Graphic Arts, Advertising Club of Buffalo, Public Relations Society of America, and the Type Director’s Club. Most recently he was selected as a packaging design semi-finalist in the 2011 Adobe Achievement Awards. His work has been published in Print Magazine, American Corporate Identity 13, American Corporate Identity 25, and TDC55 Annual.
