Dr. Bruce Tomlinson
Associate Professor

I earned my PhD at the University of Waterloo (Canada) 1983, and from 1983-88 undertook postdoctoral research at The Ohio State University. I have published numerous research articles dealing with the amphibian limb regrowth.

Since the Fall of 1988, I have been a faculty member in the Biology department at the College at Fredonia. I am proud of the recognition given me by my students and my peers who have awarded me both the President's Award For Excellence in Teaching and the Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Teaching.

I chose Fredonia for several reasons.

  • I believe it is a small and excellent college that values undergraduate teaching as its highest priority.
  • The possibility of student/faculty interactions is greater here than at many other schools.
  • We maintain research programs that actively involve undergraduates.
  • This is a safe campus set in a wonderfully rural environment.
