This spring we celebrated the accomplishments of several of our outstanding students.

Moos
Outstanding Senior Award

Scott Simpson enthusiastically accepts the Moos Outstanding
Senior Award from Dr. Janik. Scott is
going on to the University of Buffalo to earn a PhD in Chemistry.

Keller
Research Award

Daniel Dykstra receives the Keller Research Award
from his research advisor, Dr. Fountain. Dan has also
done research at the Hauptman-Woodward
Institute. Dan will be starting his PhD in biochemistry at the University of Texas this fall.

Outstanding Undergraduate Research

Mark Kryman receives the Outstanding
Undergraduate Research (OUR) Award from his research advisor, Dr. Janik. Mark will continue research in medicinal
chemistry at the University at Buffalo this summer as a PhD student.

going to St. John Fisher College in the fall to earn his Doctor of Pharmacy

Analytical Chemistry Award

Daniel Austin receives the Thumm Analytical Award
from Dr. Milligan. Dan is going to St.
John Fisher College in the fall to earn his Doctor of Pharmacy where analytical
chemistry should come in handy!

Outstanding
Teaching Assistant

Barry E. Moore II receives the Outstanding Teaching
Assistant Award for his exceptional teaching in Dr.Lawson’s “POGIL” general
chemistry class and recitations. Barry
is a junior chemistry major.

VanValkenburg
Service Award

Amanda Button receives the VanValkenburg Award for
her service to the department and Chemistry Club. Amanda is a senior chemistry major.
