Praxis Exam Data

  • 2004-2005            30 students took the Praxis Exam and 25 (83%) passed the first time
  • 2005-2006            N/A as the two year graduate program began in fall 2005
  • 2006-2007            30 students took the Praxis Exam and 25 (83%)passed the first time
  • 2007-2008            22 students took the Praxis Exam and 21 (95%)passed the first time
  • 2008-2009            24 students took the Praxis Exam and 24 (100%)passed the first time
  • 2009-2010            26 students took the Praxis Exam and 25 (96%)passed the first time
  • 2010-2011            26 student took the Praxis Exam and 23 (89%) passed the first time

 NATIONAL Average: 80% for first time exam takers

A three year average (2009-2011) shows a 95% passing rate for the first attempt.

Completion Rate of Graduate program:  

Completion of the two-year program (5 semesters) results in meeting requirements for ASHA certification, NY State licensure and Initial/Professional Certification for Teachers of Students with Speech/Language Disabilities
