I visited Zimbabwe in February 1997 as part of a USIA media training project. My family joined me.

• A view of the modern city of Harare from Kopje hill.
• The sculpture gardens just outside Harare also featured Shona music and dance.
• Great Zimbabwe flourished from 1200-1500. The remains are about a 4 hour trip from Harare.
• The family had a very enjoyable day touring Great Zimbabwe.
• We spent 3 nights on safari in Hwange Park and really enjoyed the animals.
• Our safari guide found a baby tortoise that Laura liked.
