Curriculum Vita

My research and teaching interests include contemporary multiethnic U.S. literatures, with a special focus on contemporary poetries.  I have published most extensively on Asian American poets and anthologies, and the politics of their cultural production.  My other teaching and research interests include women's studies and feminist theory, with special attention to women and film. I have published on representations of mothers in contemporary film and on experimental feminist documentaries.  My current research project is an edited collection of essays titled Vagina Talk: Conversations on The Vagina Monologues and the Global VDay Movement. This manuscript is currently under review with Palgrave Macmillan.
