Hey all, here are my office hours for the rest of the semester:

OK, folks, thanks for your patience in dealing with my family emergencies changing our schedule this week. My office hours this week were mixed up as a result; M was normal but T was 10:30-12, 2-5:30, W and Th were cancelled, and today's are 10-12, 1-2. I'll have xtra office hours to make up for that.

Hey all, due to unavoidable emergency daddy duties, I had to change my Th OH to 5-6, as I announced over email, so today (F) I'm in from 10-2.

Hey all, I've updated the main page to better reflect what we're doing in class today and to change the readings for Monday, and also changed the Essay II assignment sheet to clarify what needs to be turned in next Monday.
I've left extra peer review forms in the plastic thingie on my office door (Fenton 265), in case people want to get that kind of feedback from others between now and Monday to help them with their revision process. You can also download a copy of the peer review form by going to the Essay II discussion forum in the discussion board area and finding the appropriate posting.
People who want to make an appointment with me to discuss their Essay II draft and/or their previous assignments should know I have extra office hours the rest of the week: Th 9-12, 2-3 (plus after by appointment only); F 10-2 (plus earlier by appointment only). Since I've already made some appointments with people during these times, it's best to call or email me before dropping by to arrange a time when I'm free.

Hey all, I'm having office hours today from 9:30-11:30 to make up a little bit for cancelling office hours tomorrow and Friday (I'm heading to Albany for a union meeting). I'll have some extra hours next week, as well.

OK, the assignment sheet for Essay II is up and running. Please come to Wednesday's class with any questions you may have about the options.

I've updated the main page a bit to give more details about today's class. Please be in the habit of looking at the electronic version of the syllabus before you come to class so you have a better preview of what's going to happen in class. Also, essay II options will be going up on the web site as a formal assignment sheet tomorrow morning, so please send me any questions of suggestions you have before then. Thanks.

Hey all, made a few small corrections to the main page and the links page; just wanted to let you know if you find any dead links, please let me know. Oh, and previews of the Essay II options have been up on the Blackboard site for a little while now--go to the Discussion Board and the Essay II forum and let me know what you think!

Hey all, finally got the assignment sheets for essay I (final draft due M 9/12 in class--which meets in Reed Library) up on this site (following my emailing the options to you all last week). Soon the individual research projects (next annotated bibliography due W 9/14 in class) will also be available on this site. Also, I've condensed the teams from 8 to 6, so check out the Groups area in the Blackboard site to see if your team has been changed.

When I set the due date for the second team reports, I forgot that we won't have class until Monday, SO let's push the deadline for the team reports on the follow-up questions back to 5 pm TUESDAY, 9/6. Sorry it took me so long to figure this out. Teams who have already posted their reports may post revised versions by next Tuesday.
The links page is now up and running, but the assignment sheets for the first essay and annotated bibliographies are not yet, due to some family emergencies this week. I plan on posting these assignments to this site later this afternoon, and making them available on Blackboard and over email, as well. I apologize for the delay. It was unavoidable. We'll still have our workshop on your essay I drafts in class W, so be sure to bring 2 copies to class, one for yourself and one for your partner.

Everyone is now enrolled in the course Blackboard site, so please feel free to explore that site and this one to see what links are active. As more become active, I'll let you know here.
