Sigma Tau Delta

Sigma Tau Delta is the International English Honors Society. The Fredonia chapter sponsors activities for English students, faculty, and the broader community.

Criteria for eligibility for Sigma Tau Delta membership:
Student membership is available to all undergraduate and graduate students currently enrolled in a degree program at Fredonia’s Department of English.

Undergraduate membership:
Candidates must have four semesters of college work, as well as a minimum of four college courses in the English department at Fredonia, beyond the usual requirement for English composition. They must also have a minimum of a 3.5 grade point average in English.

Graduate membership:
Candidates must be enrolled in a graduate program in English, or one of its specializations, have completed nine semester hours of graduate work or the equivalent, and have a minimum grade point average of 3.5 in English.
