    Research:

    Current research focuses on comparative ethnic and racial studies, Asian-American and African-American history, impact of transnational migrations in the western world (especially the US, France, and Great Britain), questions of pluralism, consequences of diasporas, ethics of immigration restriction, migration and human rights, race and ethnic relations in France, and race relations in a global perspective. Other interests include film studies, gender relations, women's literary and oral traditions, Islamic civilization and Islamic law.
