History is, of course, the study of the past; however, at SUNY Fredonia students do history by conducting original research, analyzing sources, developing arguments, and communicating their findings. These skills have value in every professional field and Fredonia History majors find that their ability to manage and interpret information and to write and speak clearly and persuasively serve them well in careers in areas ranging from the law, public policy, and museum administration to the private sector.
