Research Interests: My research focuses on the history and significance of American cultural rituals of the late nineteenth and twentieth centuries. Previous project was a history of American holidays. Current project is a cultural history of gift giving in the United States.
Teaching Interests: I teach courses on American cultural history and the Gilded Age/Progressive Era history. In the past, I have taught the following courses:
