In addition to the Applied Mathemtics Core, the Finance and Economics Option requires the following coursework:

  • ACCT 201 Principles of Financial Accounting
  • ACCT 202 Principles of Managerial Accounting
  • ECON 201 Principles of Macroeconomics
  • ECON 202 Principles of Microeconomics
  • MATH 365 Financial Mathematics
  • One additional MATH or STAT course numbered 311 or above
  • Four courses chosen from the following list as advised:

    ACCT 305 Taxation II
    BUAD 315 Principles of Business Finance
    BUAD 317 Corporate Finance I
    BUAD 320 Managerial Finance
    BUAD 416 Investment Analysis

    ECON 300 Statistical Analysis
    ECON 305 Intermediate Microeconomic Theory
    ECON 310 Intermediate Macroeconomic Theory
    ECON 315 Money/Banking/Monetary Economics

    ECON 400 Econometrics and Business Applications
    ECON 410 Mathematical Economics 

Students in this option are strongly encouraged to complete a Minor in Accounting, Business Administration, or Economics.
