A student with just about any major can enhance his or her marketibility by completing a Minor in Mathematics. This is because potential employers, as well as graduate schools, recognize that the study of mathematics develops analytical, critical reasoning, and problem solving skills, and the ability to communicate ideas clearly and precisely. The Minor in Mathematics requires coursework totaling 25 or 26 credit hours distributed as follows:
Note: Majors in Childhood Inclusive Education who complete the Middle School Extension with MATH 122 and MATH 123 or MATH 120, MATH 121, and MATH 124, qualify to receive a Minor in Mathematics. They should contact the department chairperson to declare the minor. NOTES:
