A Workshop for Teachers

Join the Modern Languages and Literatures faculty of SUNY Fredonia for a day of learning. The morning session will focus on “Reading as a Process: Texts as a Stage for Language Learning” and the afternoon session will focus on “Getting Our Students to Use Target Language in the Classroom.” Both sessions will be conducted Dr. Tania Convertini and will include a working lunch. Participants will earn up to six clock hours of Continuing Education.
Language teachers will learn strategies for using texts and reading as a way to develop language skills, particularly writing. Teachers will also learn strategies to enhance the use of the target language in the classroom.
About the Trainer: Dr. Convertini serves as Language Program Director of the French and Italian Department at Dartmouth College in New Hampshire, where she works in collaboration with faculty in developing and maintaining the language curriculum.
