Psi Chi

Club Advisors:  Dr. Bruce Klonsky and Dr. Justin Couchman

Psi Chi is the international honor society for psychology students, and is affiliated with the American Psychological Association, the primary professional organization for psychologists. Psi Chi has more than 500 chapters located at accredited colleges and universities worldwide. Membership in Psi Chi recognizes members' scholastic achievements and their interest in psychology. Locally, Psi Chi is associated with the Psychology Club and members participate in many of the Psychology Club activities.  Psi Chi also sponsors many of its own events focused on community service, including the "I AM" program for children with emotional and behavioral problems, and Homelessness Awareness Week. 

Students who have at least a 3.25 overall GPA, a 3.0 in Psychology, at least second-semester sophomore status, and a minimum of nine semester hours in Psychology completed at the SUNY Fredonia campus are considered. For more information on Psi Chi, contact Dr. Bruce Klonsky or Dr. Justin Couchman.

Important notice 3/27/13: If you meet the requirements for Psi Chi, you should receive an invitation to join Psi Chi over the next week.  If you receive an invitation, and wish to join Psi Chi, please click here to register and pay for the lifetime membership.  You can also use this same site to purchase an honors cord for Psi Chi, to wear at graduation.  If you believe that you meet the qualifications for Psi Chi but did not receive an invitation, please contact Dr. Bruce Klonsky to inquire about membership.
