SUNY Fredonia is hosting the First Annual Middle and High School Science Fair on May 9, 2014. Local students working with their teachers are invited to present their projects and compete for prizes. Projects may be from any area of natural science (biology, chemistry, earth science or physics)
With the generous support of The Phyllis W. and Lawrence A. Patrie Endowment for the Sciences, this science fair will be able to offer significant prizes such as ipad mini’s and SUNY Fredonia Scholarship opportunities to the top exhibitors.
Student researchers will summarize their project in a poster format and may also put on display other artifacts from the study. These posters will be put on Display in the Fredonia Science Center on Friday May 9th. The judging and awards session will occur Saturday May 19th. Students are encouraged to bring their friends and family to the awards presentation.
Students should work with their teachers to develop and execute a project. Assistance from science professors at the College can be provided. The College can also assist in printing for the final posters.
