For this project, the student is to select one of the four listed topics and write a 3-5 page description and analysis of critical issues associated with the topic. Currently, each of these is a controversial issue in the criminal justice system of the United States. Once a topic has been selected the student is go to its webpage and access the documents found on that page. Each of these documents can be obtained through the link provided on the topic page. Students are to read these documents and use them as resources in the development of their papers. Thus, these sources must be cited in the papers they write. The discussion in the completed paper must reflect the information obtained from the Internet sources and appropriate contextual issues concerning this topic as examined in the lectures and the textbooks. This paper is due April 30, 2001.
