AAC Clinical and Research Lab

The AAC Clinical and Research Lab is housed at the Youngerman Center in Thompson Hall, Room W114. The lab provides assessment and therapy services related to AAC. The lab also conducts research and provides educational information concerning AAC. The AACCR lab contains both high- and low-technology aids as well as over 25 specialty switches to help compensate for motoric deficits. Research at the lab has focused on the use of natural language processing to improve communication rate, and also on the development of AAC for Spanish speakers.
