Irene has worked in the field of speech Pathology for 25 years in varied settings including public schools, hospitals, private agencies, and private practice.  During the past 12 years, Irene has contracted with Niagara County Health Department Early Intervention Program and Committee on Preschool Special Education Program. Currently she is supervising and teaching third year undergraduate students at SUNY Fredonia during their first clinical practicum in a private school in Dunkirk, NY.  Irene is also responsible for the supervision and instruction of graduate students completing their clinical practicum at the Youngerman Center for Communication Disorders.  Most of Irene's continuing education has focused on childhood development including autism spectrum, fluency, and language literacy/phonological disorders.  Although these are areas of high interest, she has acquired continuing education training in the areas of voice, neurogenic speech/language disorders, and current professional issues within the practice of communication disorders.
