Statement

Dr. Tillery's research and clinical expertise involves the relationship of auditory processing disorders (APD), learning and attention deficits; specific therapy aspects of APD and Ritalin's effect on APD. She has been honored to present 49 workshops or presentations at regional, national and international conferences, 58 local presentations, and authored and co-authored several chapters and journal articles on APD. She has been an invited manuscript reviewer for Journal of Speech-Language-Hearing Research, Child Neuropsychology, American Journal of Audiology, Educational Audiology Association Journal, and Ear & Hearing Journal; and Associate Editor Journal of Educational Audiology.

Besides teaching and researching she served as the Co-President of Speech and Hearing Assn of Western NY (SHAWNY) for two-years, received the 2003 SHAWNY Award for her dedication and service to the communicatively disabled of WNY, and serves on other Professional Advisory Boards and Committees, including a Board of Director for Audiology on the New York State Speech-Language and Hearing Association.
