Dr. Wisenburn's interests include:
  • Development and testing of high-technology augmentative communication aids
  • Development and testing of computer programs for assessment and therapy for communication disorders
  • Evaluation of aphasia therapy techniques

Statement

Dr. Wisenburn values the clinical experience, and strives to maintain a clinical focus to his classes. He enjoys interacting with students at both the undergraduate and graduate level, and encourages an intellectual curiosity in his students. Dr. Wisenburn supervises students in the clinic, particularly with cases of augmentative/alternative communication. He is the manager of the Augmentative-Alternative Communication Clinical and Research (AACCR) Laboratory at the Youngerman Center for Communication Disorders.
