Minor programs include:
- Athletic Coaching
The Athletic Coaching minor is offered to students who wish to be licensed in New York State to coach in the public schools and community recreation programs. The curriculum covers First Aid Skills and Knowledge, Philosophy and Principles and Organization of Athletics in Education, Health Sciences Applied to Coaching, Sport Specific Coaching Techniques, a pre-internship and an internship.
- Sport Administration (INDS)
One of two Interdisciplinary Studies sport minors, the Sport Administration minor program offers interested students the opportunity to explore the administrative and communications skills involved in sport. Participation in an applied outside experience (i.e., practicum/internship or independent study) is strongly recommended.
- Sport & Exercise Science (INDS)
One of the two Interdisciplinary Studies Sport Administration/Science minors, the minor in Sport & Exercise Science offers interested students the opportunity to explore the physiological aspects of sport. Participation in an applied outside experience (i.e., practicum/internship or independent study) is strongly recommended.
