Carol
J. Blanchard designs costumes for stage, video and film. She works for
companies such as Chicago’s Victory Gardens Theatre (Hanging Fire), Porchlight Music Theatre (Sweeney Todd, Falsettos) and Drury Lane Oakbrook Theatre (Of Thee I Sing, Barefoot in the Park), Cleveland Symphony’s Blossom Opera (Falstaff), Center Stage (Streamers), Milwaukee’s First Stage Childrens’ Theatre (Seussical), and Buffalo’s Shakespeare in the Park (Much Ado About Nothing).
In 2004 Carol won Chicago’s prestigious Joseph Jefferson Award for
Outstanding Costume Design for Porchlight Music Theatre’s production of
Amadeus. She recently designed the premiere productions of Einstein’s Dreams and The Quiltmaker’s Gift, both adapted from books of the same titles. Her work can be seen in The Silk Road Theatre Project’s production of Caravaggio and on the stages of Porchlight Music Theatre later this year.
