Tom Loughlin
Tom has been teaching in the performance program since 1988, specializing in acting and directing. His MFA is from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and he is a member of Actors' Equity Association. He has performed extensively in the city of Buffalo, with such theatres as the Kavinoky Theatre, the Irish Classical Theatre Company, Buffalo Ensemble Theatre and Buffalo United Artists. He has also performed several seasons with the Wisconsin Shakespeare Festival , Shakespeare in Delaware Park (Buffalo), and spent a year on tour with the Blackfriars Stage Company Atomic Fission Tour of the American Shakespeare Center. His interest in digital technology led him to direct several multimedia productions and help form and head the Media Arts Program at SUNY Fredonia, spending three years as Chair of the Department of Visual Arts and New Media. From January-July of 2007 he served as Interim Dean of the College of Arts and Humanities.
