Dinecia Pierre-Louis

A hearty welcome goes out to EDP’s newest staff member—Ms. Marie Dinecia Pierre-Louis. (She goes by Dinecia.) Prior to starting with EDP on March '08, she worked in the business world in the New York City area. She graduated from SUNY Fredonia in 2005 with a degree in secondary French education and a minor in Spanish. She is very familiar with the EDP experience because she, too, entered Fredonia through EDP and became one of our many success stories. While at Fredonia, she received the Ralph Wilson Book Scholarship, the Robert Rie Award, Rosa Parks Scholarship, and was elected to the Chi Alpha Epsilon Honor Society and Pi Delta Phi French Honor Society. She also served as a tutor for College Tutoring Services, was a McNair scholar, worked in Upward Bound both here at Fredonia (2004) and at SUNY Binghamton (2005), was a resident assistant and resident director in Gregory Hall, and studied abroad in Senegal and Mexico. Following graduation she spent a year teaching in France. In her official position as counselor she will be assigned a student caseload and assist in teaching the freshmen orientation class. She started work on a master’s degree at The New School in New York City and will continue her master’s work at Buffalo State.    You may reach Ms. Pierre-Louis at Marie.Pierre-Louis@fredonia.edu.
