As the Educational Development Program kicks off its 45th year on the State University of New York at Fredonia's campus in fall 2015, we welcome EDP's newest counselor, Mr. Daniel M. Smith. For the last three years Mr. Smith has been working in Fredonia's Residence Life office as a residence director in Chautauqua Hall. There he assisted nearly 200 first-year residents with their transition to Fredonia.

In addition to his work within Residence Life, he has been an instructor within Fredonia’s leadership program. Prior to arriving at Fredonia, Mr. Smith taught high school history for four years and coached basketball.

Mr. Smith earned his Master of Science degree in Curriculum and Instruction in the Inclusive Classroom in 2011 from Fredonia and his Bachelor of Arts degree in History, Social Studies Education in 2006, also from Fredonia. His duties as EOP counselor include overseeing his student case load and assisting in providing student support services.
