Student Spotlight - Karyn Zea
Karyn is a senior Communication Disorders and Sciences major with a Spanish minor from Queens and will graduate this May. Karyn has volunteered at the WCA home, soup kitchen, and as a mentor to underclassmen in her major. She has also served on the e-board for Latinos Unidos as secretary and historian. Karyn has made deans list for 6 semesters and is graduating with a 3.75 GPA. She has also been a peer advisor for Jewels summer program. She has been a recipient of the Ralph Wilson award and a member of the Chi alpha epsilon National Honor society. She has also been a work-study for Property Control and the Marketing & Communication departments. Karyn has also worked as a classroom aide for Buffalo Hearing and Speech Center and as a Resident Assistant for two different residence halls on campus. She is also a member of Sigma Kappa Sorority. She plans on returning to Fredonia for graduate school in the fall to pursue her masters in Speech-language pathology.
