Dear Colleague:
The All-Campus Appeal is an opportunity for faculty and staff to support student scholarships and build program and departmental endowments through the Fredonia College Foundation, a private non-profit corporation that exists solely to support SUNY Fredonia.
By contributing to the All-Campus Appeal, you have the opportunity to help ensure that future students continue to be nurtured and inspired by SUNY Fredonia. As a special incentive for All-Campus Appeal payroll deduction gifts directed to endowments, the Fredonia College Foundation Board of Directors has authorized $60,000 in 1-for-2 matching funding for the 2008-09 academic year. The incentive is effective as of October 1, 2008.
Included in the payroll deduction incentive would be gifts to any new or existing endowments, including program endowments, endowed scholarships, building towards endowment funds, and Doors to Opportunity pooled endowment fund accounts. Matching funds of 50 cents to every dollar will be provided up to a maximum $500 match for a $1,000 donation. Please note that the incentive is limited to donations to endowments, and does include all departmental endowments.
The building of endowments translates into more available scholarships for deserving students and the development of new programs - all of which benefit student learning. I encourage you to contribute to a fund of your choice.
All faculty and staff are encouraged to participate in the appeal through payroll deduction or with gifts of cash to the Fredonia College Foundation. Donors wishing to establish new endowments should contact the Foundation Office at extension 3321.
