'Wasted Away' Art Competition Registration

Pollution is a very real problem in our world. The waste we produce causes a whole host of problems for the environment and those who inhabit it. The Earth Week Committee hopes to create an awareness of the issues caused by trash and pollution through an exhibition of works using trash as the medium or theme.

The work will be displayed in the outer perimeter of the Williams Center (outside of the Multi-Purpose Room), to ensure a wide viewing audience. Photography, film, animation, graphic design, sculpture/3D works, drawings and paintings are all eligible and will be included in the exhibition. The committee reserves the right to refuse to show any works deemed hazardous or inappropriate.

We will be giving out cash awards to the three winning entries:

  • First Place: $150
  • Second Place: $100
  • Third Place: $50

Submissions are to be set-up on Sunday, April 14 between 12 (noon) and 4pm. All submissions MUST be removed on Friday, April 19. Judging will occur on Thursday, April 18, will awards being made as part of our keynote address event starting at 7pm in Rosch Recital Hall (more information).
