M.S. in Education: Mathematics 7-12

Program Requirements Hours
A minimum of 30 semester hours of graduate-level courses including:
1. A course in research methods 3
2. One course each from three of the following categories:
  1. Social, Historical, or Legal Foundations of Education
  2. Design and evaluation of mathematics curricula
  3. Instructional methods
  4. Use of educational technology in the teaching and learning of mathematics
  5. Psychological Foundations of Education
3. One course from each of four of the following categories:
  1. algebra or analysis
  2. geometry or topology
  3. number theory, probability, or statistics
  4. history or philosophy of mathematics
  5. applications of mathematics
  6. any approved course in mathematics
4. MATH 602 Mathematics Education Seminar 3
5. MATH 690 Graduate Project 3

The student's advisor or the department chair must approve any course used to fulfill the above requirements.
