A site created by Mitsuharu Matsuoka to provide concordances for the works many Victorian authors as well as for William Shakespeare's works and the Bible.
- From the opening page select Thomas Hardy as "author."
- From the "Hardy, Thomas" page it is possible to select the title of one of Hardy's novels or volumes of poetry.
- From the title page a search string can be entered and the concordance results will be displayed below in the context of a brief quotation of words to the left and right, prefaced by the line number of the citation. COMMENT:
The concordance displays are very fast. Each line of the text is numbered, and the line number and the term(s) searched provide a link to the full text. The full text of the book can be displayed by right clicking on the underlined word or the line number in any string and then left clicking on the choice "Open in New Window." Unfortunately, the editions from which the texts are derived are not identified.
