No specific information is given about the print or electronic sources of the Hardy texts; however, an earlier version of the site carried the following remark: "But hey, thanks to all you guys who are charging for books that are otherwise available free. Without you, I'd never know where to go for new titles... tee, hee, hee." The texts of Far from the Madding Crowd and The Return of the Native include the 1895 prefaces only; that of A Pair of Blue Eyes only a preface dated 1899.
