COMMENT:
Of possible interest for Mew's associations with Hardy. However, the reviewer's assertion that Hardy's poem, "The Dead Man Walking," was "reputed" to have been written when Charlotte Mew refused to return his affections can refer only to some altogether groundless and not widely-known speculation; the poem was written long before Hardy had even met Charlotte Mew.
