For someone seeking particulars about this very valuable collection of writings by and about Hardy, the
information provided unfortunately is only very general. A detailed catalogue of the collection was produced in 1984 and is available for sale. With respect to editions of Hardy's novels, this Catalogue of the Works of Thomas Hardy in the Dorchester Reference Library by Charles Pettit has been updated to 1998 by Birgit Plietzsch as part of the TTHA Novels Page: The Novels Holdings of the Thomas Hardy Collection of the Dorset County Library, Dorchester.
