This page is an "Index to Science Fiction Anthologies and Collections." It includes anthologies that include such Hardy poems as "The Darkling Thrush" and "A Wasted Illness." The index extends to works published up to and including 1983.
It makes reference, too, to the "Locus Index to Science Fiction (1984-1999)" maintained by Charles N. Brown and William G. Contento. This index was formerly available on the WWW, but is now only available on CD-ROM for Locus Press Locus@Locusmag.com . The indexes to this CD-ROM version are searchable by key words in book and story titles.
The indexes include listings of such anthologies as The Supernatural Tales of Thomas Hardy (London: Foulsham Books, 1988), edited with an introduction by Peter Haining.
COMMENT:
The Supernatural Tales of Thomas Hardy is said to include twenty-one short stories by Hardy, including "What the Shepherd Saw," "The Superstitious Man's Story," and "A Christmas Ghost Story." The stories are identified by citations to the periodical in which they appeared. The Locus Index provides similar information about other volumes indexed.
