Date: 07/01/04
A Northwestern University based "Electronic Text Project" that includes
texts of Hardy's Tess of the d'Urbervilles (using an e-text prepared at the Oxford Text Archive from a 1978 Penguin edition), and of Far
from the Madding Crowd (using an e-text prepared at the Oxford Text Archive from a Norton Critical Edition of 1965).
A search engine provides a concordance to both texts.
COMMENT:
These Hardy e-texts are not now generally available: software
currently used by Northwestern University Library restricts by
license availability only to members of the NU community who have
a Network Identification and a password. For further information,
contact Sally M. Roberts (sroberts@merle.acns.nwu.edu). See our GENERAL
CAUTION about such texts. For further information about the Oxford Text Archive, click here.
The concordance search engine can be used. Searches yield context(s) for the word or phrase searched, preceded by the name of the novel; clicking on the novel name yields a fuller context and a page number. For other concordances, see the Links Index.
