A documented undergraduate paper by Kathryn Morton titled, "The Woman Question in Jude the Obscure: Sue and Arabella, Two Halves of What Whole Woman?" The paper was written for a college course taken in 1995; Ms. Morton is now an employee of the Enrollment Systems department at Wayne State University.
COMMENT:
A jejune argument that "If Sue and Arabella could be melded together, and therefore tone each other's extremes down, they would make one perfect wife for Jude."
